Ommegang Beer was my clear favorite at this years Appetite Festival. They are a small brewery from Cooperstown New York, near the baseball hall of fame. The brewery itself is open daily and offers tours from 11am to 5pm. If you do make the trek to Cooperstown you should also consider a trip to the Cooperstown Beverage Trail which consists of 6 beverage makers.
I liked everything I tried from this brewery especially the Witte and Rare Vous. Witte is a Belgium style wheat ale with a soft lemony flavor. Rare Vous is a Belgium style ambar ale that was brewed with grains of paradise and orange peel.
